Thought long and hard about it but have had a modest each way bet on Beauchamp Xerxes 3.40 Lingfield, has been running fairly well of late though would have to step up quite a bit to win this listed race, but with only 9 going to post could get placed at decent odds..

Looking forward to the Betfair Chase. Althugh he's a brillant horse and I've won quite a few quid on him, I'm not overly convinced by Kauto Star early on in the season. Notre Pere is too prone to the occassional fall. I'll leave them alone and have a small bet on Imperial Commander if he hits 10 to 1. I also fancy this horse to run well in the King George, and am going to take 12/1 each way before todays race.

My big bet will be 12.55 Ascot - Pure Genius, well handicapped to win this for David Pipe at 13/2. Won't even bother with each way, this one should win.

Nothing for me today, just laying in running given the ground conditions.

Good luck guys

Imperial Commander done in a photo by a short head to Kauto, he looked to have won. Mistake 3 out cost him. Good news is my 12/1 King George bet is now around 5/1.

Pure Genius just struggled to go over the bigger fences. A shame, as on her hurdling form she had little weight today.
