BIRMINGHAM owner Carson Yeung could bring Bordeaux boss Laurent Blanc to St Andrew's. Yeung is ready to commit £40million on transfers but is not convinced current boss Alex McLeish is the right man to spend it.
Credible draws against Manchester City and Liverpool have helped the Scottish manager's cause but uncertainty in the boardroom still hangs over McLeish.
Blues also picked up three points on Saturday with a 1-0 win against Fulham.
But the new supremo has his own thoughts on the situation and would be tempted if a coach of Blanc's standing came on the market.
The Frenchman is doing a marvellous job at Bordeaux and the French champions are already assured of their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League.
