Here´s one for you SAS.

The few years ago, the 4 remaining spice girls, osh, scarey, baby and sporty are on one side of a bridge. It´s dark and the bridge can only support the wight of 2 of them at one time. They have to get across from one side of the bridge to the other in 16 minutes or less.

They all walk at different speeds.

Sporty takes 1 minute to make one single passing of the bridge (one side to the other).
Baby takes 2 mins
Scarey who is pregnant takes 7 minutes.
Posh is heavily pregnant takes 8 minutes.

When they cross together they walk at the speed of the slowest one, ie if baby and scarey go together, scarey is the slowest so they take 7 minutes to make one crossing.

They are not allowed to cross without the torch as it is too dark.

So it´s basically a case of 2 go across, one goes back, 2 go across, one goes back, until all four are on the other side.

How do they organise themselves so it can be done?

I didn´t mention, there is only one torch.

Okay here goes:

Sporty & Baby cross first - 2 minutes
Sporty walks back - 1 minute
Scarey & Posh cross - 8 minutes
Baby walks back - 2 minutes
Baby & Sporty walk across - 2 minutes

A grand total of 15 minutes !!!!!

I'd be struggling to get that one to be honest...might have got there in the end ?? but those type of quiz questions and cryptic clues I do seem to find most of them a bit tough.
