Have any of you seen it?

Had a rare family night tonight, you know the score, you put a film on and actually watch it all with the kids, a coke, bag of minstrels and dim the lights, it was a good fillum I thought, the coke tasted a bit watery without a rum in it mind.
Hopkins is great though isnt he?

An enjoyable evening in the Telfy household, the next one planned is for I am Legend, I aint got a clue what thats about.

Hey Telfy,

Don't know how exactly how old your your kids are, but I saw Legend at the pictures a few months ago and it was a bit scary. Mind you, if your kids are teenagers, they will probably love it - it'll be you hiding behind your hands and lepping out of your skin. Let me know what you think, if you see it.

Mmm now I want to see it even more, kids are 17 and 13 and eldest has seen it at the flicks and now owns the DVD and watched it again, he is the one that said we should watch it, no qualms with youngest watching it whatever is in it, Ive tried my best to scare him with my recommended films and it hasnt worked muching_out.gif

Hey Mrs S, We had another rare family night tonight, thats 2 in a week so I will have to look into that, the coke was still watery but the swizzles assortment in place of the minstrels more than made up for the lack of rum.

We enjoyed the fillum as well, none of us found it scary mind, a couple of jump factor moments I agree though, it took me a while to get into it but all in all was not a bad film.

I think we might be making more of an effort in future to have these little tete a tete, after all we can all sit together for a couple of hours without speaking much, the kids arnt arguing which is nice, and its all a bit of bonding dont you think?

Mind you after reading other posts Ive realised how many perfect parents there are out there amongst you, so my efforts could be futile icon_paper.gif

Glad you enjoyed it Telfy; it confirms to me that I really am a wimp because I was right frightened! It is nice to have the odd evening with your offspring isn't it - the only way I can get my son to sit downstairs with me is to watch a good film, or Curb Your Enthusiasm DVD set, or Arrested Development set which he loves.

Any suggestions welcome from anyone about any good fillums out there? Especially comedy.

Have you ever seen Kingpin,Mrs S? It stars Woody Harrelson as a hustling 10 pin bowler who hustles the wrong guys and comes a bit of a cropper loike. The star of the film though is Bill Murray who is just fantastic as Woody's nemesis. It maybe a bit dated now but still has some great moments and there's a half decent soundtrack toboot.Nice easy viewing so it is.

I loved both Fracture and I Am Legend Telf.

However, a filum about magicians was the best I've seen for a while... the title will come to me soon I'm sure!
