Incredible. Could have taken a wicket one way or another with every ball of that over and then put the icing on the cake with the last ball.

I'd like to give him a swift kick in the goolies, I've been getting crap about this loss all bloody day!
We need to turn the tables in the Ashes or it's going to be a miserable winter for me.
Broad was awful in that last over, with a relatively straightforward caught & bowled dropped and a couple of badly bungled run-out attempts, not to mention bowling what I felt was completely the wrong line in the circumstances, and cost us the victory. Although the captain must take the major share of the blame in this respect, since Broad junior was presumably bowling to captain's orders.
It's a pity Broad is not even half as good as he thinks he is! Send him back to his county to sort himself out, and get a haircut at the same time!

STUpid boy was the headlines on the back of the Daily Mirror and it summed it up to be honest, cringe making embarrassment think we were as low as 1/16 to win this one...says it all....!

England HAVE to win today against mercurial but unpredictable Pakistan. If they lose, or if the weather prevents any play, England will be out before the tournament has even got going!
So much for our wonderful second-time-around captain and his policy of 'easing ourselves into the tournament'!

Valid point Jim,and its somewhat disconcerting as well !,I'm also just wondering if the 20/20 has just lost a bit of the impetus since its conception given crowds both on the county and test scene appear to be a bit down over the last year or so, of course it may be that crowds have leveled out, although there may be other factors to be taken into account.

If Broad had have hit the stumps he'd have been a hero, and if someone had have been doing their job by backing up quicker then they wouldn't have got the overthrow to win the game. I don't thinki you can blame Broad for this performance. Luke Wright and Ravi tried too hard to hit every ball out of the ground instead of timing it. We didn't hit one six in the whole England innings, that's we went wrong, not Broad's last over..
Still, the Aussies lost as well so it's not all bad..
You're very generous to the young man, Panj! Are you related?
On counting back, he actually fumbled three run-outs as well as dropping a dolly return catch, and should have realised no-one was backing up on the last ball and held on to it, thereby ensuring the cricketing equivalentof a penalty shoot-out rather than throwing the game away.

I don't often disagree with you Panj but young Wright was superb.
He may have tried to hit it too hard but how you can have a pop at someone that scored 70+ is beyond me...

The England side obviously thought they 'just had to turn up' ,I didn't watch all of the game but as I understand we didn't hit a six at all ..!!,yet the minnows hit four...??....a sloppy attitude boarding on the lines of total arrogance, lets hope they have learned their lesson.

Superb performance today by everyone, especially Broad.
Strangely the commentators didn't even mention he was on a hat trick in the 19th over...

Broad 3-0-17-3, form is temporary, class is permanent.

No. Why should I?
He cost us the game against Holland. Thankfully, someone seems to have got through to him over the weekend and he did better today.

Why? lets see, "It's a pity Broad is not even half as good as he thinks he is!" I happen to think, he IS as good as any player of his age in the world today.
And....."and get a haircut at the same time", can you please explain exactly what difference that would make? Trying to get your point across with pithy remarks is not what is expected of someone like yourself.
If you're looking to pick a fight, Puds, you'll have to look elesewhere. Sorry to have disappointed you so badly.
