I can read fine....batsmen aren't bowlers so there were no stats to put up...
swann beats him at both

I know what you're saying puds and forgive my teasing BUT taking those stats, is he really as good as the media make out?

What those stats show is that Swann, Broad and Flintoff are all worth their places as all rounders.

It also doesn't take into acocunt when they took wickets and when they made runs, Freddies won us plenty of matches, it also doesn't take into account that he gets the crowd and other players going thus bringing out a better performance from those around him.

We are all well aware of Scoobys shortcomings Bob, I didn't want to be subjective on the matter so let his figures tell the story.

He's neither great nor average, he's inspirational and a match winner. Statistics can be very deceptive (the cliché will testify to that) but I ask you all this before judgement; Who would you rather have running in with the ball when we need a wicket, Swann or freddie? And who would you rather have batting when we need 50 runs to win, Broad or Freddie?
That is all..

Swann and Broad

If he didn't come with his big drinking personality, I don't think he would be quite have the hype is has, but you cannot deny he's been a great player.
But comparing him with his all-rounder peers (Pollock in the early years of his career, Kallis in the later), his stats were never that impressive.

Savage didn't score many goals for us (or Dugarry for that matter) but they both had a similar impact on Blues that Fred has for Engerland.
