Sea The Stars....a breathtaking performance to capture the Prix de l'Arc Triomphe has to be one of the best flat horses of all time..I wish I part-owned it..!!

Dancing Brave....had a mate of mine put a 'three figured sum' on it in the 1986..? Derby has he just coundn't see it getting beat..he was absolutely furious with ..think it was Greville Starkey's riding tactics as it should have probably won...think it took him a few years to get over it..!

Starkey was sacked by Guy Harwood for that mistake. The horse finished like a train but had way too much to do and got beat by Sharistani (?).
It did however win the Arc later that year to show everyone what he could do - with Pat Eddery on board...

Pat Eddery was 'King' of the Arc in the 1980's....won it 4 times and that took some doing..,wonder how much Starkey's riding of Dancing Brave in the 1986 Derby cost him over the following years..??
