Jenson Button is crowned F1 world champion after taking 5th place in Brazil, with just one race to go he has an unasailable lead. Braun have also claimed the team prize for constructors.

Do you reckon he'll be in to see his paymasters for a increase in salary now..??

I must admit I don't follow motor racing very much, though our kid is a big fan and I think he said that he 'took a drop in his salary somewhile ago' as the racing team was in a spot of financial trouble, but I could have got it wrong and he might have been on about somebody else.??

He'd better not get too attached to that title as it'll be heading one Mark Webber's way next season ...

It's a load of bollocks isn't it? It just proves that anyone from the F1 scene can win the world title as long as you've got the best car, which Braun had this year.
Scalextric for rich kids, is all..

Not true, of course - the Red Bull was the best car for at least half the season...a combination of Vettel's 'inexperience' & the team's lack of a Ross Brawn cost them. EDIT & Renault engines
Brawn, & Button, made the most of what they had throughout the season.

Just have the 'best cars' go round the track driven by a computer then...think of the money they would save ..!!

I just don't get it, why would somebody want to sit down watching cars go fast?
So you take your seat in the stadium and it goes like this:
Fred
Here comes a red one
eeeeeooooooowwwwww
Jim
'Feckin 'ell how fast was was that?'
Fred
'Feckin fast, here comes a blue one.
eeeeooooowwwwww
Jim
Feck's sake, how quick was he moving
Fred
'I'm not sure Jim but he looked almost a tenth of a second faster
eeeeoooowwww
eeeeeooooooowwww
eeeeeooooooowww
Jim
Feckin 'ell, I thought he was going to take him then
Fred
eh?
Jim
Feckin 'ell, I thought he was going to take him then
Fred
Speak up you fuc eeoooowwwww, eeeooooooowwww
Jim
eh?
Fred
Ah stuff it, let's go and watch the highlights
Jim
eh?
To me it holds about as much interest as international pro-celebrity Coronation Street, live from Salford. I'm not sure what my brother thinks of it though.

I worry (not a lot) about men who don't 'get' the speed (absolutely incredible), noise (massive & massively 'thrilling'), the smells (OK, leave it), the skill, the fantastic engineering...
Having said that - I wouldn't actually go any more, coz it's way too spensive now, but still - it's got all the 'man' stuff to make it interesting.
