1. In the UK the county of the West Midlands would be number 1, Merseyside comes in at 2 ,while Tyne and Wear is at 3,but ..?


2. Their first car was produced in the 1890's, and the company name dated back to the 1910's, the marque vanished in the 1970's,what was the famous old cars name..


3. Which was Britain's best selling toy three times in the late 1980's,though I must confess I have never heard of it..!!

4. Next to Wembley which is the next largest sporting stadium in the UK ,capacity wise.


5. Two records were banned by the BBC in 1969 one a number 1, the other maybe less known made the top ten...?

6. In 2008/09 it was £312,000 ,in 2009/10 it is £325,00 and in 2010/11 it will be £350,000..?

Yes...well done Panja 4 is correct and 'Je'taime is as well but it wasn't Cold Turkey but the other one I thought was awful,in fact it was the only hit he ever had over here...thankfully..

5 is correct ,but not '3' ,I'll tell you what it wasn't as a clue...not Rubiks Cube,Star War toys or Transformers they were all best selling toys in the 1980's but this 'toy' was three years the toy of the year during the late 1980's

I don't know the Population theme, Smudger, as it was banned in 1969 when I was just a small boy..

Is it the population of the administrative centres of the respective counties?

Actually they are the most densely populated counties in the UK....as Greater London lost its county status many years ago. 1. 7,470 per sq. mile...2. 5,436 per sq.mile.....3 5.216 per sq.mile. as per the end of last year.

Interesting....but not correct, the other 'banned' record just made the top ten just after the end of the football season in that year.....here's a clue his surname features in a play by Shakespeare..!

It was a singer called Max Romeo....anybody heard of him... g.gif the record was called 'Wet Dream' it got to number 10 in the charts....it was bloody awful..
