Having trouble getting a Pompey ticket??

Blues have arranged a fantastic executive away trip for our FA Cup 6th round fixture Vs. Portsmouth on Saturday 6th March.

We'll be setting off from Birmingham on Friday afternoon and staying overnight in the fabulous 4 Star Meon Valley, Marriott Hotel. The hotel is set in 225 wooded acres in the rolling countryside on England's southern coast.

Upon arrival on Friday evening you'll enjoy a luxury meal and the evening is then yours to spend at your leisure. You'll be free to use the hotel's luxury facilities including the indoor heated pool and fitness centre or for an additional charge why not chill out in the indulgent beauty and health spa. Then retire to your luxuriously appointed guest room, which will include wireless high-speed Internet access, 32 inch flat screen TV and mini bars.

On Saturday enjoy brunch at the hotel, before setting off for the 12.30 kick off at Fratton Park. You'll be seated with the Birmingham fans and you'll also receive a matchday programme.

We really have thought of everything! The package includes:
• Overnight accommodation at the 4* Marriott hotel
• Evening Luxury meal & morning breakfast
• Seats with the Birmingham fans to watch the game
• Executive coach travel

I think I'd want a Money Back Guarantee depending on the 1st March High Court Winding Up hearing.

I was going to go with Lobby but although the golf courses look inviting, the nearest dart board is 2 buses away in a working men's club so it was never really going to work out.

Pompey will be 'in administration' by the week-end I reckon..!

As this is being widely reported on the BBC and other places, I think I'd probably be inclined to agree. The word on the street is "Friday".

So, they'll be deducted 9 points because of the fact that they gained those points (and more) with fraud and financial mismanagement.

So, FA, do we get a two goal start in the FA Cup as an equivalent level of punishment. I cannot begin to tell you how militant and angry I'll get if this bunch of shysters steal our place in the FAC SF in the same way as they stole our place in the Premier League a few years ago.

Money,
Putting aside for a moment the FA Cup fixture (and your resultant gasket-blowing should the result go Pompey's way), you must surely gain some satisfaction from knowing that Portsmouth's woes, self-inflicted as they are, will be with them for a long time to come.
The points deduction guarantees what we already knew - they will be relegated at the end of the season and spend next season in the Chumps league. It is reported that they are likely to receive their parachute payment early to enable them to stave off liquidation, but the resultant problems that this, along with the rest of their considerable debt, will generate means that they should be odds-on to continue on a downward spiral that will take them closer to the Ryman League than to Europe. The player exodus will be alarming, but will only serve to avoid the debt worsening; it is hard to imagine that Avram Grant has enough feeling for the club to make him want to hang around for long, so there could be a job for Harry Bassett! They will be scratching around for players from the lower leagues and will be used as an example of how not to run a football club that will eclipse the Leeds United example by some margin.
In short, whilst the retribution that they deserve has eluded them in the short term, the chickens should soon start to come home to roost. So you see, if you sit by the riverbank for long enough, you will be able to watch the bodies of your enemies float by.

AND ANOTHER THING.....

No prizes for guessing who the media will be in support of....

....poor old Pompey.....

....terrible future ahead.....

....romance of the cup....

....wouldn't it be great if they made it to Wembley....

And we are guaranteed to be the villains of the piece if we win - whereas we are exactly the opposite - a well run, well financed, debt-free club.

We can talk, we don't even know who owns our club.
