If you've got a Sky HD box and would like to watch the game on ITV HD, here's a step by step guide for setting it up. It's as easy as 1-2-3, well 4-5-6-7-8-9 actually but it's quite straightforward.
I set mine up this morning, there's no programmes showing at the moment but it seems to be working ok.

How poor is the football on ITV? I don't mean those two teams who played the early game today, ITV can't get the blame for that. I mean their presentation of it, it's rubbish. I don't how many players' names the commentator got wrong but it was more than enough. Then there was the constant reminders of Pompey's financial state, Blues hardly got a mention before the game.
Also, why oh why oh why do we have to suffer so many Scottish people working as football pundits? No offence to the Jocks like, but why don't you all just fuck off back up north for work instead of putting our ears through that every week? It's as if just because Andy Gray has done such a good job for Sky that everyone else has to follow suit. Well I'll have you know that for every Andy Gray, there's an Alan Hansen or a Charlie Nicholas. Do you think that BBC Scotland is awash with English ex-players telling viewers that they don't understand football? Naah, I doubt it.


Oh well.

It's a well known fact that the Scottish accent arouses passion when listening to it, making the commenbtary that more enjoyable. It's also a well known fact that they'll work for next to feck all, making them a lot cheaper than their Queen's English counterparts..

The commentary was truly awful today, when they weren't waxing historical about Blues and reminding us all about Pompeys financial state and how wonderful it would be if they could get to Wembley, they spent a good two minutes discussing the hairstyles of David James and his decision to braid his hair today as opposed to the afrodised style he wore on Wednesday night?

They have the IPL too on ITV4 which caused original abuzzness and then a sigh of despondancy as I imagined what ITV are going to do with Crickets most glamourous element of the game? Andy Townsend discussing the merits of MS Dhoni's sunglasses or Robbie Earle telling us how Fulhams offside trap will be the undoing of Chennai Super Kings.

I concur ITV were poor in way they presented the Pompey v Blues game and how quick was they to wrap the programme up ? they can really be embarrassing at times..!

Didn't see this thread before the game so had to watch the game on my HD telly in normal mode and how bad is it?

Been spoiled watching the beutifull game in HD having to watch Larson in normal mode was almost too much to bear, his lack of ability being pixilated by the normal resolution technology was almost as bad as being there.

Surely if it had been in HD then the useless Ginger Tosser would have seen just how bad Larson was after 20 mins and taken some positive action, but thats technology for ya eh?
