On your personal stereo, MP3, turntable, discman, or phonograph?
Is it dance, ambient, trance, acid, jazz, four piece indie rock combo with mustard hold the mayo?
Does anyone still buy cassettes or vinyl?
So many questions. So much music. So much for the city.
I'm still into Elbow meself loike. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

Lots of different music.
I'm experimenting by listening to new artists that I don't know much about, by downloading all sorts of things recommended by a variety of people. If I particularly like any of it, I buy a CD to hear more.
Some of the stuff is quite old really, like Chrissie Hynde, Eric Bogle, Mike and the Mechanics, but I'm also open to suggestions for more modern artists. My musical tastes are really quite eclectic, as long as it's not rap!

Hi Stret, I didn't think the CD was as good as the reviews at first, I much preffered Killing Joke's Dave Grohl inspired come-back CD which came out about the same time. But its proved to be a grower, and if you liked their past stuff then its definitely worth getting.
Mates have been dissapointed with their shows this year but last night they were back on top form, if aiming for the stadium rock thang.

The great thing about Jethro Tull is that once you've played his record you can take him outside and he'll dig your herbaceous border for you. there's not many modern day bands that'll do that for you is there?

Don Henley - Boys Of Summer
Rather ironic as I am currently enjoying the musical delights of Hell Freezes Over (Live) by the Eagles. For about the 130th time this year. And I still love it. Current track is "Get over it", which is a cracker. One lyrical titbit from it is:
"I'd like to find your inner child and kick it's little ass"
Don, or should I say Mr Henley, you are my hero sir.

This week I'll be mainly listening to Babyshambles and Beirut.
The jury haven't returned from their verdict on Panja's album of the month yet, but I can tell you now that the foreman intimated to me over the phone last night that Babyshambles have it by a chorus or two at the moment. It's a back to form album for Pete Doherty that's for sure. I just hope he can keep off the Charlie (that's slang for smack, not the BN1 gardener) for a prolonged period..

Postman Pat album. Quite how that got into my car stereo, I'll never know.
But apart from that, the current mix CD includes the sounds of Juno Reactor, a few old Juliana Hatfield tracks, some Anti-Nowhere League, Rage Against The Machine and Kate Bush.

Just bought Radio 1's second outing of the Live lounge long players. Amongst the many hidden gems I see on disc two there's a band called Elbow singing Forget myself, a track from their 2005 offering 'Leaders of the free world'.
I wonder if it's any good??
Also on there is the Arcticulated primate's version of Amy Winehouse's You know I'm no good. Begads I like it..
Mark Ronson makes his way on there, as does Reverend and the makers and The Pigeon detectives, which is a real coup..

'Fraid not, Mick. Jack Penate gets an outing on here though. It's on next in fact after Corinne Bailey rae has finished murdering Justin Timberlake's Sexyback..
It took me so long to write the above that Penate's track has just started.
