Didn't Carlton Palmer captain England before Paul Ince did?? I know it wasn't a question on here but it just came into my head. Because I'm sure I remember as a nipper Palmer coming on as sub when Taylor took whoever was captain off and Palmer wore the armband for the match. Making him captain. Mr Smith
